Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in people management
  • Experience as a software developer, architect, chief technology officer, technology advocate, or consultant with web or mobile technologies
  • Experience with one or more programming language (e.g., Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript, Objective-C, Swift, Kotlin, or .NET)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with large partner organizations
  • Experience blogging and writing technical articles
  • Experience presenting to large, technical audiences
  • Excellent public speaking skills

Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Programs Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally at Google. Not afraid to be hands-on, you write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. The Google Analytics Developer Relations team educates and helps developers effectively implement, use, and integrate the Google Analytics platform. We inspire developers and users by showcasing what's possible with our developer features through sample applications, speaking events, videos, content, and working directly with our partners and customers. Internally, we represent developers and work with Product and Engineering teams to help design and advocate for APIs and developer features.

Responsibilities
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to improve our measurement platforms, leading efforts to ensure developers can effectively use and integrate the Google Analytics platform for web and application measurement.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of developers, customers, and partners, working with the Google Analytics Engineering and Product teams to help design, launch, and support developer features.
  • Provide guidance to the team on direction, scope, and goals of engineering tasks.
  • Ensure the team is enabling developer features that solve high-value measurement use cases.
  • Lead the direction of our developer resources and tools to match the needs of external developers and partners.
