About the role

As a Developer Advocate, you’ll be responsible for the API platform and developer tooling that power Finicity’s integrations. You will be part of the team that will build and articulate an inspiring product vision for Finicity’s developer tools and create a robust community of engaged 3rd party developers.

What the Developer Relations team will do:
Create Awareness of Finicity’s APIs in the industry.
Expand Finicity’s role as a leader in financial APIs through industry engagement and thought leadership.
Establish frequent and consistent communication with developer community, including blog posting, tutorials and social media engagement.
Expand Sign Up, API Usage and Retention within Finicity’s Developer Community.
Provide leadership for Finicity’s API reference documentation and usability.
Ensure responsive support for developer questions across platforms, including Finicity support, Stack Overflow, Finicity Developer Portal engagement.
Develop resources to grow Finicity Community, including bidirectional communication and developer engagement via appropriate forums.
Drive Product direction of Finicity’s APIs and Developer Experience.
Drive content and organization of Finicity’s Developer Experience Portal.
Maintain roadmap for developer tools, including API, Libraries and SDKs.
Establish strategy for sustainable API expansion, versioning and deprecation.
Conduct developer research to influence and support product strategy

What you'll need to be successful:
Experience in a developer-product / API focused company including prior successes in:
Driving collaboration across engineering, analytics, marketing, design and other key stakeholders.
Managing technical products in a startup environment.
Delivering results in a fast paced, agile environment.
A love of developer products and tools with a strong desire to engage with the developer community.
Experience in software development / programming and coding to API’s.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and business users.
Motivation to make a difference and improve the financial lives of consumers.
