The Developer Evangelist is an experienced software technologist responsible for growing the usage and understanding of the connector SDK. The primary audience of the SDK Evangelist is the Boomi Technical Partner Program (TPP) and the Boomi connector developer community. The SDK Evangelist strives to raise awareness, influence adoption, educate, and enable custom connector developers to achieve successful outcomes.

What you’ll achieve:

The Developer Evangelist has a marketing mindset and will share the SDK story with internal and external stakeholders. This requires gaining intimate knowledge of the connector SDK capabilities as well as how connectors interact with the larger AtomSphere platform.

You will:

• Serve as the liaison between Engineering and the Technical Partner Program.
• Act as an advocate for both the SDK user as well as the engineering standards and best practices required for public connector development.
• Collaborate with TPP leadership and directly with partners to achieve successful connector development outcomes. This includes providing guidance on connector design, best practices, and engineering review feedback.
• Communicate SDK feedback from connector developers to the product and engineering teams as valuable input into prioritization and roadmap refinement activities.
• Support partner projects and generate related content, including writing community articles, blog posts, and recording educational videos.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in technical evangelism. with 8+ years of Java 7+ experience and a sound understanding of object oriented development best practices and design patterns.
• Expertise working on SaaS based products, multi-tenant environments, and modern web services technologies including REST, SOAP, OData, and OpenAPI.
• Experience developing with and deploying development CI/CD tools, such as Ansible, Bamboo, and Jenkins
• Experience in mature development processes including use of source code control systems like Git
• Experience using Linux/Unix environments and the ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in the API integrations and/or connectors space
